At Burgin Manor, family is what we’re all about. Since 1982, we have been owned and operated by the Axelbaum family whose dedication to the care of the elderly has earned them accolades beyond Richland County and throughout Illinois.
Comfortably located in a lovely residential area of Olney, within two blocks of Richland Memorial Hospital, Burgin Manor is ranked among the finest and most complete nursing centers in southern Illinois. Our 156-bed nursing home includes the ASPEN Wing, an entire division devoted to Alzheimer’s and special needs residents. Burgin Manor is also the only nursing facility to offer The Suites, the ultimate in nursing home living, featuring a spacious private dining room, expansive private and semi-private rooms, with bay windows overlooking a landscaped courtyard, and a Jacuzzi bathing pool.
We are also the only comprehensive rehabilitation center to offer the Going Home Program, which thoroughly prepares our residents and their caregivers for a successful – and rapid – return home.
Burgin Manor is fully licensed and inspected by all federal, state and local regulatory agencies. We consistently meet or exceed all established standards in our field.
The facilities at Burgin Manor are beautiful without being ostentatious. We offer attractive dining rooms, living rooms and sitting rooms. Families can enjoy visiting around the aviary, the 120 gallon aquarium, or to join their loved one for many of the special entertainment we bring in for our residents’ enjoyment.
Burgin Manor offers private and semi-private bedrooms. We have two courtyards for our residents to enjoy as well as the wheel-chair accessible Burgin Manor Van to shuttle our residents to their doctor’s appointments. The van is also available for shopping trips, a meal out on the town, or many other trips offered by our Activities department
