LIKE A SHELTERING TREE . .

Good Samaritan Home is like the sheltering tree on our symbol. Firmly rooted in the Christian faith, its branches reach out to serve, comfort and protect.

CARING ISN’T ONLY WHAT WE DO, IT’S WHAT WE ARE . . .

At Good Samaritan Home, we focus on the individual and their needs through resident-centered care. Our philosophy of teamwork allows our employees to meet the Home’s goals of providing comfortable and secure housing, top quality nursing services, nutritious meals, fulfilling social and religious opportunities, and love and understanding to all.

WHAT WE DO BEST IS CARE . . .

On our 40 acre park-like campus, Good Samaritan Home offers a continuum of care: Independent Living Cottages, Shelter Care, Nursing Care and Alzheimer’s Care. This allows our residents to live in a setting especially suited to their individual needs. Today we minister to the needs of over 400 residents. Quite simply, we work to follow our motto: What we do best is care

Nursing Care at Good Samaritan Home falls into one of three categories: Intermediate, Skilled, or Medicare Skilled. There are dedicated nursing personnel to provide top quality, around-the-clock care. We can accommodate a wide variety of needs in nursing care.

Skilled care areas provide care for those who need physical, emotional, social, and other restorative services. This resident no longer needs the type of care and treatment provided in a hospital, but does require some frequent medical supervision and continuous skilled nursing observations. The program of care is directed toward the restoration of personal and social independence and health. Available resources, family and community are utilized to plan and reach realistic goals.

Residents are admitted into the Medicare Skilled level after a qualifying stay in the hospital. Good Samaritan offers both Medicare A and B Services.

Intermediate Care provides basic care including physical, emotional, social and other restorative services under periodic medical supervision. Many of these services, such as nursing care, may require skills in administration.

An intermediate care facility is designed to provide a protected environment for persons whose health needs require constructive supervision in an institutional setting to prevent deterioration and disability and maintain them at maximum level of self care and independence.
