ADMISSION AND FEES

Private Pay:

Private Pay includes those individuals who are not covered by any type of nursing home insurance and their asset and income levels exceed the limits for Medicaid coverage at time of admission. Their own personal funds are used to pay for all care, medications and services. All money paid to the facility will be used as a spend down recording system and when funds run out, the resident will them qualify for Medicaid coverage and the facility will assist in applying for Medicaid.

A security deposit amount of $3,000 is due prior to move in of the resident and an amount equal to one month ($130 x 30 = $3,900 for semi-private room or $150 x 30 = $4,500 for private room) is due upon move in date. Your payment will always be one month ahead. The deposit will be refunded when the resident no longer resides at the facility.

Medicaid Funding:

If a resident does not have a current Medicaid application, a deposit amount of $3,000 is required prior to move in of the resident. Also, a fully executed Medicaid application needs to be completed. Our Admissions Department will assist you prior to the move in with the completion of any paperwork as needed. Once the Medicaid is approved and active the $3,000 deposit will be refunded.

If a resident has an active Medicaid funding, the only deposit required is the initial social security income the resident has. Verification of the payee needs to occur prior to admission to the facility. Each month the Social Security check needs to be turned over to the facility as part of the resident’s cost of care as Medicaid pays for the residents’ cost of care less the social security amount. It is best to make the nursing home the payee for the time the resident is living at the nursing home.
