Long Term Care
The Long Term Care unit of Fayette County Hospital serves the region’s older adult population providing compassionate high quality healthcare as they age. Our central location in the county is convenient for families assuming more intensive care for their loved ones.
Long term care is required when an individual needs another to help him with his physical or emotional needs. Care may be required to dress, eat, use the bathroom or attend to medical needs – activities previously taken for granted.
Fayette County Hospital’s Long Term Care Unit provides both temporary long term care for those requiring a short time (weeks or months) to recover from illness or injury and ongoing long term care for those who suffer chronic medical conditions, permanent disabilities or dementia.
Our skilled and compassionate staff takes pride in caring for your loved ones, many of whom they know as neighbors and friends. Please feel free to contact our Long Term Care Manager & Nursing Home Administrator, Carolyn McKinney at 618-283-5414 with any questions about our facility or to schedule a visit and tour.
