Home-Grown Care
Yes, home-grown care. That three-word phrase aptly describes the staff at Good Samaritan Home! Take a minute and read the brief biographies of our staff. You'll readily see that they're home grown—natives or long-time residents of the area around Good Samaritan!
All of them are trained in resident-centered care and they meet on a regular basis to assess needs and evaluate residents. It's devotion on a higher level!
Our professional staff
are RNs, LPNs and CNAs, who work together to create a caring environment. They are part of a team that focuses on individual resident needs to assure their highest level of functioning.
Activity Staff -
Our activity staff knows that the icing on life's cake is the things that make us feel good and enhance our lives—from Tai Chi to beanbag baseball, from professional entertainment to Karaoke, from creative crafts to Super Bowl parties, our resident's lives are enriched.
Dietary -
Our dietary staff prepares resident-chosen home-cooked meals in a restaurant atmosphere.
Skilled Nursing Care
When these three words are used together, they convey a powerful image. At Good Samaritan, we know the importance of skilled nursing care. Our caregivers inherently know that each of our residents is an individual. Each requires resident-centered care.
And, resident-centered surroundings. At Good Samaritan, we have 48 private rooms and six that are semi private. All with in-room bathrooms.
Take a tour and you will find each room has a unique personality, which reflects the life of its resident. You might also drop in on a social or recreational program or a special event. There are also van trips to area restaurants and scenic drives in the country.
Our daily room rates include all levels of nursing care, meals and snacks, daily housekeeping, cable TV, and laundry services. Special and restricted diets are also provided as needed.
Rehabilitation programs as well as speech, occupational, and physical therapies are available. For your convenience there is a beauty/barber shop in the facility and transportation services available. (Fees are based on services rendered.)
Rehabilitative Therapy
We all want to be independent. The loss of the ability to walk freely without aid, to get up from a chair, to stand at the kitchen sink, play sports as you used to or pick up a child can change our way of life.
Rehab at Good Samaritan can restore skills that have been compromised because of a stroke, an accident, sports injury or the wear-and-tear of everyday life. (Therapy services as well as restorative and maintenance programs are designed to aid those who have undergone hip or knee replacements.) Rehab at Good Samaritan can also increase the mobility of those who need just a little help as the years pass by.
We selected one of the most experienced well-established companies with more than a decade in the field. The company, which provides physical, occupational and speech therapists is owned and operated by professional therapists. They understand that our patients want intense short-term therapy with follow up. Our equipment is state-of-the art and includes E-stim Unit and NuStep Exerciser.
Good Samaritan rehabilitative therapy is Medicare qualified.
