Nursing Care

Restorative nursing measures are practiced seven days per week and are directed at keeping our residents healthy and active.

Quick Steps

Quick Steps is a program designed to assist individuals in returning to their maximum level of well-being. Our goal is to help the individuals get the treatment and care needed for a quick recovery. Home is where the heart is and we want to help them get there. With Quick Steps, one will find a comprehensive rehabilitation program.

Respite Care

When an in-home caregiver is temporarily unavailable, Hilltop offers a respite program that can bring peace of mind. The respite program not only offers a safe, temporary source of care, but it also serves as a first introduction to Hilltop for many of our eventual residents.

Resident Services / Activities

Admission to a health care facility creates a period of adjustment and change for both family and resident. Our social service staff are here to assist the resident with any needs that may arise from the time of admission, during the period of adjustment, and thereafter. Our top goal is always to enhance the quality of life residents experience during their stay with us.

We encourage our residents to take full advantage of opportunities for socialization at Hilltop. We plan lots of on-site functions as well as off-site field trips to Walmart, the grocery store and special events such as fairs and festivals.

Our proximity to the local university and active involvement in the community means that we have lots of interaction with:

Fraternities
Sororities
Social clubs
Church groups
Preschool classes
Pet therapy programs

Whether theyâ€™re joining us for Bingo, leading a craft, helping us landscape or engaging in a genealogy project, our residents always enjoy their presence.

The activity department also coordinates a monthly pot-luck style family night dinner. Itâ€™s during this time that the residents and their family and friends have the opportunity to dine together and also be entertained by many local entertainment groups from the Easterâ€™s to Dave the Dog.

Dining

Healthful dining is offered at Hilltop. We have a Dietary Manager on staff and are able to accommodate special needs.

In addition, residents may enjoy use of a private 16-seat dining room. This is perfect for residents hosting guests, or as just a special treat to brighten someoneâ€™s day.
