Our staff of nursing professionals strive to meet the physical and emotional needs of our residents. R.N.'s, L.P.N.'s, and Certified Nurse Aides follow the guidance of the Director of Nursing.
The nursing diagnosis is developed from the resident's medical history and information from the physician assessment. Twenty-four hour nursing care is given under the direction of the resident's physician. Nurses maintain contact with the physicians and notify them of any change in the resident's medical condition.
Qualified nursing staff dispense medications and employ resident teaching and rehabilitation practices that encourage the resident to continue independence or to regain skills that have been partially lost. Family involvement is encouraged for continuity of care and reinforcement of nursing goals.
With physician approval, families and nursing staff cooperate to promote home visits and outings for residents to promote continued interaction outside the facility.
