Sunny Acres Home sits in a picturesque valley over-looking the Sangamon River just at the edge of Historic Petersburg, Il.
Sunny Acres Home was born out of a need to care for the senior adults in Menard County and the surrounding area. Menard County owns and operates this 106-bed facility as well as a 21 unit independent living facility and employs one hundred plus employees. The State of Illinois has licensed our home under a skilled nursing status and the home delivers four levels of care. Our home has a Specialized Dementia Unit where those with dementia related disease are lovingly cared for. The home is Medicare, Medicaid certified, and we accept private pay and insurance payments as well.
Sunny Acres Home strives to provide person centered care for the senior adults in our area. We know that a continued quality of life is very important to the seniors we serve and their families. Every effort is made to respond to spirit, as well as mind and body. We encourage independence, dignity and respect for each senior as well as the highest possible level of skilled care.
We offer a caring small town atmosphere, where there is a sense of a loving community environment. Menard County is proud of the services that are available for the senior adult population at Sunny Acres Home. Our commitment is strong to ensure the enhancement of the lives that have been entrusted to our care and to continue to offer services that promote a successful and safe environment.
Long-term/Skilled care
Our twenty-four hour Nursing Staff is educated and trained to meet the different aspects of skilled care for rehabilitation, dementia, and wound care for the elders in our care. We are pleased to provide a Special Care Unit for those with a dementia related disorder. Hospice Care is available at Sunny Acres for the terminally ill though our affiliate, VNA Hospice Care of Illinois. We also offer comfort care and end of life services. Based on availability, we have Respite Care and Day Services. Our Medical Director and Pharmacist are on call 24 hours a day. Laboratory and radiology services are available. You can feel secure that someone is near to provide quality care for you or those you love.
