Woodbridge is conveniently located in the historic Logan Park neighborhood of Chicago. It is very close to public transportation (the Fullerton bus line) and also has a 60-car parking area which makes it easy for family members to visit. From an outdoor patio that faces Logan Boulevard residents enjoy the comings and goings of the neighborhood.

The facility averages about 200 residents. Private and semi-private rooms are available with private or attached half-baths. Meals are served restaurant style in dining rooms on each floor and in the main dining room.

"Our menu, just like the music we play," Gonzales says, "represents the different populations we serve. For example, our residents from Mexico like rice, beans, and tortillas. The Puerto Rican people like different rice and different beans, and no tortillas. We try to please the palate of everyone, and we offer lots of substitutions."

Woodbridge offers extensive rehabilitation services through a physical and occupational therapy team. Speech therapy is also available to residents who need it. Several doctors who are affiliated with nearby hospitals are on-call.

The facility is Medicare and Medicaid certified and accepts private pay or insurance and Medicaid-pending residents. Experienced staff members assist residents and families (in Spanish or English) with public aid applications and processing. The facility is in compliance with federal and state standards.

"We want our residents to feel at home here," Gonzales says. "We want them to be healthy, safe, and comfortable. We treat them like family."
